In December, 2015, world leaders from developed countries came together in Paris for the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP21) to discuss initiatives to address climate change. One of the ambitious goals included an aim to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate, with the intention of keeping global warming below 2°C. The outcome of the conference stressed the need for continued work in the U.S. and around the world to reduce the effects of global warming.
