ARTISTS JAE & WADSWORTH JARRELL: At the height of the Black Power Movement in the mid 1960’s some sought equality and justice through sit-ins, marches, and membership in organizations like the SCLC, SNCC, and the Black Panthers. Others spoke out, not on city streets but in plays, poems, AND visual art. Among that pioneering group who sought change through the arts were Jae and Wadsworth Jarrell of Cleveland.

HOLDEN ARBORETUM: The 36-hundred acre Holden Arboretum, which encompasses Lake and Geauga Counties, is ranked as the 13 th largest arboretum in the country. It operates as a living outdoor museum that promotes the beauty and importance of the forest and wildlife. Holden recently unveiled a tower that’s 120 feet high, AND a 500-foot-long walkway suspended 65 feet above the forest floor, both of which will give visitors a very different perspective.
