Time-lapse of Foggy Chicago Skyline

Well, it's not fun for drivers, but thanks to time lapse photography, beauty can be found on a foggy day. Time-lapse is a technique in which many photographs are taken over a period of time and are then shown quickly in a series so that slow action actually appears to be happening faster.

Take a look at this time-lapse of fog rolling in to blanket Chicago.

A dense fog advisory in the windy city dropped visibility to a quarter-mile or less over the area. In some locations visibility dropped to near zero.

You can see the fog here burying the Chicago skyline. Temperatures below freezing also created icy, slippery conditions on roadways, overpasses, sidewalks and pavement.
