Ivanka to Learn Coding

WHILE THE PRESIDENT IS BUSY MAKING BIG DECISIONS, FIRST DAUGHTER IVANKA TRUMP IS MAKING TECH-Y SUMMER PLANS – SHE’S LEARNING HOW TO SPEAK “COMPUTER.”

TRUMP SAYS SHE AND HER FIVE-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER WILL BE TAKING A COMPUTER CLASS TOGETHER – TO LEARN HOW TO CODE.

CODING MEANS TELLING A COMPUTER WHAT TO DO BY GIVING IT COMMANDS – IN A SPECIAL COMPUTER LANGUAGE. COMPUTER PROGRAMMERS USE MANY DIFFERENT “LANGUAGES” TO DESIGN, WRITE AND MAINTAIN COMPUTER PROGRAMS.

THE FIRST DAUGHTER REVEALED THE NEWS WHILE SPEAKING TO MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS AT AN EVENT IN WASHINGTON...

IVANKA HOPES TO INSPIRE YOUNG WOMEN TO PURSUE CAREERS IN THE GROWING, BUT MALE-DOMINATED TECH INDUSTRY.
