A Plus: Students Create Anti-Bullying App

THIS WEEK OUR NEWSDEPTH A PLUS GOES TO A GROUP OF 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS AT DE PERE SCHOOL WHO INVENTED AN APP TO STOP BULLYING.

THE APP LET’S STUDENTS ANONYMOUSLY REPORT BULLYING TO THEIR TEACHERS AND ALSO LETS THEM REPORT POSITIVE BEHAVIORS IN SCHOOL TOO. STUDENTS RECOGNIZED FOR DOING GOOD THROUGH THE APP ARE GIVEN VIRTUAL E-CASH TO SPEND ON REWARDS.

THE STUDENTS SUBMITTED THEIR APP TO THE VERIZON APP CHALLENGE AND WON THE NATIONAL FAN FAVORITE AWARD.
