Scott Thanasiu

Scott Thanasiu joined the WKSU underwriting team in 2018, with a background in multi-media sales and copywriting.  He is a sustaining member and, as a decades-long listener to NPR and WKSU, finds his new home at 89.7 to be ideal.

Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from The University of Akron and is a veteran service member of the United States Navy.

He is passionate about social justice and sees WKSU’s role, in helping to foster an informed and engaged electorate, as crucial to a well-functioning representational democracy.  Scott also enjoys volunteering in community theatre, running, and reading and writing poetry.
