Imani Roach's installation "Havens," inspired by The Green Book

The recent opening of Spaces Gallery, at 2900 Detroit Avenue on the near Westside of Cleveland saw the premiere of three new exhibits, including one by artist Imani Roach, called “Havens.”  Her inspiration came from a pocket-sized travel guide marketed to African-American motorists, to help keep them safe, called, “The Negro Travelers' Green Book.”
