Saudi Arabia has a long border with Iraq and there is evidence private money, arms and fighters have joined the fight against U.S. forces next door. Many Saudis believe some of these homegrown militants have also carried out suicide attacks and murdered Western workers in the Kingdom.
The United States has urged Saudi Arabia to democratize, but reforms have slowed. NPR's Deborah Amos continues her series on Iraq's Arab neighbors with a look at the competing voices for change in Saudi Arabia.
