On Tuesday, Columbus officials will lay out their plans for a new Hilltop early learning facility before the city school board.
Mayor Andrew Ginther says the proposed facility will provide early learning services for 200 children in the neighborhood. In his State of the City address last month, Ginther said it’s planned for a space adjacent to Highland Elementary and the J. Ashburn Boys and Girls Club.
“This unique partnership will create an educational campus allowing all three organizations to share space and resources and collaborate on important programs and services,” Ginther said.
The effort is receiving private support from developer Doug Borror, and former NBA player and investor Michael Redd. Copyright 2019 WOSU 89.7 NPR News. To see more, visit WOSU 89.7 NPR News.
