In August 2022, Jeannette Sorrell and Apollo's Fire gave a concert at Cain Park called Lift Ev'ry Voice and Sing, celebrating Brotherhood and Sisterhood. It brings together pieces from the rich tradition of African-American spirituals and folk music with historical Black artists and composers
