KSU's Outgoing President is Set to Form Consulting Group

A retiring university president is mapping out his next job before leaving his old one.Kent State University's Lester Lefton will retire this summer. And as Kent State's student-run website KentWiredreported earlier this month, Lefton's already set rolling out plans for his new post-retirement life. He'll be at the helm of an higher education consulting firm known as The LeftonGroup. KentWired reported that the group will be comprised of 14 consultants that will provide various types of advising to private and public universities. The LeftonGroup briefly had a website go live as a trial run, KentWired said, but it was later taken down.Lefton'snot the only Ohio president stepping down. The University of Akron's Luis Proenza will also retire as president in 2014, and the top spot at Ohio State University is still open after Gordon Gee left earlier this year.
