When Ohio State Highway troopers saw a 2011 Ford Expedition following other vehicles too closely on the Ohio Turnpike Thursday afternoon, they pulled the 4-wheel-drive over to issue a ticket. That’s when they saw signs of criminal activity inside. A Drug sniffing dog confirmed it, and after a search, officers found five pounds of that new illegal drug called bath salts, cash, and checks. All in all, the patrol seized more than 151 thousand dollars worth of the drugs. Two South Carolina men were arrested and charged with drug trafficking and drug possession. If they are convicted of those felonies, they could face up to 21 years in prison and more than 42 thousand dollars in fines. Earlier this week, trooper busted a turnpike driver for a record amount of heroin.
