A debate over pit bull dogs is once again simmering in the Ohio legislature.
A 23 year old state law requires owners of all vicious dogs to buy special insurance that can cost several hundred dollars a year, and the law says that pit bulls are automatically considered to be vicious. Pit bull owners, and some animal protection groups, are now pushing state lawmakers to remove that breed from that automatic designation.
