Already the Cavs are on pace to have their best season since they were formed in 1970. With 28 wins so far this season, they're arguably one of the best teams in the basketball. TV ratings and game attendance are soaring. But Plain Dealer basketball reporter Brian Windhorst says many Cleveland fans are hedging their bets, especially after a dismal Browns season.
WINDHORST: Some fans are being guarded in their optimism about how well the Cavs are doing because they've been let down a lot.
Tonight's game should show just how good a shot the Cavs have at a title. The road to the championship likely runs through Beantown, but Windhorst says the Cavs have gotten a little better since last year and the Celtics have gotten a bit worse. Maybe, just maybe a championship is in Cleveland's grasp.
WINDHORST: I think the stage is set for there to be a major outpouring if the Cavs are able to pull it off.
None of Cleveland's sports teams has won a championship since the Browns in 1964. Tonight's Cavs/Celtic game tips off tonight at 7 at the Q.
