Ohioans React to Obama Victory

One Obama supporter called into WCPN's Sound of Ideas this morning to from his perspective as someone who remembers Jim Crow laws.

Dan Moulthrop: Lance Joins us now from Cleveland Heights. Lance Welcome to the program
Lance: I'm in my fifties, I remember the civil rights movement and I remember before civil rights and have lived through the last 45 years since it's just so amazing to me that a black man has been elected president, and no matter what the issues were, the fact that Americans have elected a black man is just incredible to me.

Another listener differed on the importance of Obama's race. Christina emailed WCPN to say, "Most people, regardless of their race, voted for Obama because he was the best man for the job. Obama is bi-racial, a President that politically and genetically represents us all."
