Vigil Held For Congresswoman in Washington

Chad Pergram of FoxNews provided this exclusive report to WCPN about tonights prayer vigil in the nationa's capital for Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones.

About 130 people gathered in the basement of the Capitol tonight for a prayer vigil for Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-OH). And at the end of the vigil, Tubbs Jones spokeswoman Nicole Williams made brief, on-camera comments:

"She was such a bright light on the Hill....And we're praying for strength from the Lord....We just wanted to take a moment and lift her up."

There was also a reading of the poem "Ready to Unfold" by Mona Lake Jones. Most of those in attendance were Congressional staff. Aides from Ohio Congressional offices were prominent. Many left the vigil visibly shaken and sobbing. Some consoled and hugged in the hall. Others were stoic and stared straight ahead.
