Earlier this week it was announced that Columbus-based American Electric Power has agreed to pay more than $4 billion to reduce pollution produced by its coal-fired power plants. Environmentalists blame the pollution for eating away at northeast mountain ranges and even some national landmarks -- including the Statue of Liberty.
