Colleges and universities are increasingly turning to part-time adjunct professors to teach classes. Often, those adjuncts make just a few thousand dollars per course and receive no benefits. And some who try to make a living as adjuncts say their hours are now being limited so schools don't have to pay federally-required health care costs.
