Women are breaking through the stained glass ceiling... well, at least some are. Hundreds of delegates cheered when Northeast Ohio Evangelical Lutherans selected their first female bishop last week. Clevelander Elizabeth Eaton made history by being voted the leader of the Northeastern Ohio Synod. Yet some churches refuse to ordain women, while others simply won't hire female ministers. This week, the local Catholic Diocese announced it would cluster churches because of shortages in the all-male priesthood. We'll talk about women in the pulpit Friday morning on The Sound of Ideas.
