The shooting rampage at Virginia Tech left 33 dead and colleges everywhere wondering how to detect the potential for carnage before a single shot is fired. Campuses want to remain open spaces yet provide enough security to protect students. It's a delicate balance to maintain privacy while finding those who need help. We'll ask local colleges how they walk that fine line Friday morning on The Sound of Ideas.
