We’re joined by The Distinguished Gentlemen of Spoken Word, a group of teens that practice the art of performance poetry as a way to dispel the negative stereotypes that are sometimes associated with young African-American males.
Also, the Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum Induction ceremony returns to Cleveland April 19 th with a series of programs, apply called, “ROCK WEEK,” honoring this year’s class.
And Cleveland has long been a hot bed for music, with Rock Hall inductees like the O’Jays, Bobby Womack and Alan Freed getting their start here. It’s where record execs often brought their bands to break and where local starry-eyed teens dreamed of making it big in the music business.
