As part of ideastream's focus on family caregiving, we'll be telling many stories on radio as well as television and online in the coming months. But as ideastream health reporter Sarah Jane Tribble began her reporting, she was puzzled over one big question: How does one mentally cope with taking on the day-to-day care of a loved one? She talks with Morning Edition Host Rick Jackson about becoming a caregiver. The story introduces Jim Traxler, who is taking care of his wife Karen. At 72, Karen suffers from dementia.
