The funeral will be held at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church on Woodland Avenue in Cleveland.

Last month, Cleveland police officer Timothy Loehmann shot Tamir Rice at Cudell recreation center on the city's West Side. Tamir later died at Metro Health Medical Center.

Tamir had been at the park playing with an air pellet gun. Police approached in a car and shot Tamir within two seconds of pulling up next to him, authorities said last week. Officials said Tamir had been reaching toward the air gun in his waistband.

This week, Tamir's family announced it had set up a fund in his name to pay for funeral expenses.
