Dan Polletta welcomes trumpeter Sean Jones and members of The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra to share the music of Miles Davis as he previews The Many Faces of Miles programs happening this month and next in PlayhouseSquare. Plus Dee Perry introduces us to Dennis Scholl the Vice President of Arts for The Knight Foundation, prior to his Friday Forum appearance at The City Club of Cleveland later this week. And we hear from Ben Jaffe of The Preservation Hall Jazz Band which performs at Severance Hall this weekend.
The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra presents The Many Faces of Miles at Kennedy’s Down Under in PlayhouseSquare October 25 & 26, then on November 15 & 16 they present a Miles Davis Tribute at The Hanna Theater in PlayhouseSquare.
The Galleries at Cleveland State University present Two Minds ... One Canvas: The Collaborative Work of Jo Gelbard and Miles Davis from October 25 - December 7.
