Your Answers: Who would you take to space with you? Why?

We learn about the oldest and youngest persons to fly to space this summer. Now we want to know:  Who would you take to space with you? Why?

I would take my Dad, Mom, and a friend. I want to take people that I know. Taking people that  I know would make me have a better time. If I took people I don't know I would be more nervous because I don't know what the people are going to do. I don't know if they are mean or if they are nice. Plus, most people don't even get to have a chance to go to space once! Making the best time out of it is definitely important.

— Elise

If I could take anyone to space I would take my two cats, Lando and Garfunkel. I would bring them because they would keep me company and they would snuggle me. When we're in space they will freak out because of zero gravity. If I go to the moon I will walk my cats on the moon and I will put a flag with cats on it on the moon.

— Elise from Grant Elementary in Lakewood

Dear NewsDepth,

If I went into space, I would take a person from NASA because they will know how to control the rocket ship.  They will know how to navigate through space and they will also know how to land on Mars.

— MaryGrace, St. Peter School in North Ridgeville

I would take my parakeet and grandma because I love my parakeet and my grandma loves space. She is actually an engineer.

— Ella from A.I. Root Middle in Medina

Dear NewsDepth,

I am the elementary principal at Marion Local and I watched your episode asking who I would take with me to space. The answer to that question is simple, I would take all of my awesome 5th-grade students who watch NewsDepth each week.

— Mr. Wilker from Marion Local Elementary in Maria Stein

Dear NewsDepth,
I would totally take my little sister if I went to space because she is adventurous and I would love to see her face when she sees stars up close.

— Sarah from Groveport Elementary in Groveport
