Your Answers: How would you turn your hobby into a career?

In last week's episode, we learn about a man who turned his cooking hobby into a business. We want to know: how would you turn your hobby into a career?

"My hobby is trying to do everything, but mostly sports. I enjoy seeing other people. I love helping and teaching people who have trouble learning. So, I will probably have a lot of jobs, but I will have to work hard to get want I want! You always don't get want you want, but it is always worth a try.

"I want to be a science or social studies teacher. My homeroom teacher is a science and social studies teacher. That is my main goal when I grow up. If I don´t make it, I will want to try out for a soccer team. Those are my hobbies, and they might turn into my career."
-Brooke from Pattinson Elementary School in Cincinnati

"I would like making food and selling it to people who need food. It would be free for every homeless and poor person. I want to help people who need food."
-Caiden from Bruce Elementary in Eaton

“My hobby is singing. I want to go to a really good music college and get on The Voice, America's Got Talent, or something like that. I will go to any extent to become a singer. Singing is not only a hobby, but it is a passion. I love to sing. It is my favorite thing to do."
-Cassie from Pleasant Run Elementary in Cincinnati

"One of my hobbies that I share with my dad is, well, train watching! I saw episode 4 of season 51 that talked about trains, and I knew everything. I've been a railfan for about four years; my dad has been doing it for maybe 20 years or over.

"I could turn this into a business opportunity by sharing my pictures and locations. Everywhere we go, we find other railfans everywhere at the tracks. We are always been happy to tell people where something is or where it's coming from. We already belong to many online groups that share information and upload videos and photos. There are so many people that also go on Youtube or Facebook and upload videos and photos.

"There are special trains called heritage units that are always being tracked down. We could sell the videos or photos, or make a Youtube channel out of it. Lots of people love the thrill of such a massive machine, like my dad and me. That's how I believe I could turn my hobby into a job."
-Christian from Orrville Middle School in Orville

“One of my hobbies is reading. So what I would do is make Zoom classes for reading to make reading easier for kids and adults, too. I hope reading would be easier for people because I love to read. I hope people would love reading as much as I do, or even more than me. Stay safe everybody, and stay smart.”
-Arielle from Adena Elementary School in West Chester
