He's not exactly on the run, but an octopus has escaped from a New Zealand aquarium.
The manager of the National Aquarium of New Zealand says Inky the octopus found a weak spot in his tank and got away. The smart sea animal squeezed out of a small gap at the top of his tank...slithered across the floor of the aquarium... down a sea-water runoff pipe to Hawke's Bay and on to freedom.
Octopuses are known to be very intelligent, curious and like to push boundaries. A missing poster will not be put out for the escaped invertebrate. Officials expect inky is most likely roaming the sea floor... back in his natural habitat.
