Eiffel Tower Turns Green

Paris wanted to honor the spirit of the talks and the record number of people coming with plans to help protect our planet - and look how they did it!

Artwork named "One Heart One Tree" was displayed on the Eiffel Tower, making it look like it is a virtual visual forest. The color came from images of trees being projected there. People paid to choose trees and for every one that they displayed a 'real tree' was planted in an area of the earth that has been affected by deforestation.

That means the removal of a forest or a stand of trees, where the land is converted to a use that is not a forest.

Trees on the Eiffel Tower will be projected from six at night until one in the morning until Thursday.
