Obama, Castro Hold First Talk Between Nations in 50 Years

President Barack Obama is back in the United States, after attending the Summit of the Americas, in Panama. There he made history, meeting with Cuban President Raul Castro.

It marks the first time leaders from the United States and Cuba have sat down together in more than 50 years. President Obama called the meeting obviously historic, and said it was time to try something new, after decades of cold war animosity. He announced in December that the U.S. would move to renew diplomatic ties with Cuba.

Tuesday, the president submitted a request to Congress to remove Cuba from the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism.
