In addition to money, hackers target personal information. Since last year, hackers were able to steal information from several companies including Anthem, Sony, the U.S. Postal Service, and Gmail among many others.
The hackers were looking to steal personal information like social security numbers, birthdays, customer payment card methods, email addresses and even street addresses.
Now, top tech executives are meeting with some of Washington's key players, including the commander in chief. They were in California earlier this week for a cyber security summit hosted by the White House.
