Ida joined Rick in the studio to close out the last show of 2014.
Merriam Webster dictionary released their 'word of the year' this week. Chosen for it's large amount of online searches, culture is the word of the year. Culture is defined as the beliefs, customs, arts, etc., of a particular society, group, place or time. Many families, friends and communities will be celebrating cultural traditions over the winter break, or maybe even this week, since Tuesday was the first day of Hanukkah.
Let us know about some of the culture you experienced and we'll share some of your letters on our next show.
And congrats to Rick Jackson, who was named University Heights Citizen of the Year on Monday. Mayor Susan Infeld presented him with the proclamation. Rick and his wife Brenda have lived in University Heights for nearly 10 years. And fun fact, Rick's son Brandon won the city's outstanding youth of the year in 2008.
We'll see you back here on January 7th. Have a happy and healthy holiday season!
