Opportunity Zones; One Community Reads; Akron's Global Classroom

Governor Kasich will decide this week which distressed areas of the state would benefit most from a new, federal community investment tool. The program, created through the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, allows governors to nominate 25 percent of their state's low income census tracts for opportunity zone designation.

A community wide reading initiative nears its final chapter, at least for now.

And it may look like a typical college lecture, but this University of Akron class is actually taking place on four continents -- all at once.
