Construction on Opportunity Corridor Resumes

It's hasn't been an easy road for Opportunity Corridor. The construction project aims to improve traffic flow  and to spur economic development between East 55th and East 105th Streets. But it has endured more than a decade of skepticism from neighborhood activists and major roadblocks including a lawsuit and other delays. Construction resumed recently and state and city officials hope to have it done by 2021. To get the latest on the project, ideastream's Rick Jackson spoke with Steve Litt, architecture and design critic at The Plain Dealer. Litt also discussed the finalists in a competition to design a replacement for the Cleveland Public Library’s Martin Luther King branch in University Circle.
