Peter Baker, White House Correspondent, New York Times, has covered the White House for various publications during the Clinton, W. Bush, and now Obama presidencies. His new book, Days of Fire: Bush and Cheney in the White House, chronicles the partnership between President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney, from the VP selection process, through two terms in office. Baker calls them one of the most influential White House Partnerships in US history, saying, "for good or ill, theirs was a deeply consequential administration that would test a country and play out long after the two men at its center exited the public stage."
Baker will sit down to discuss his new book and his years in Washington with City Club CEO Dan Moulthrop.
In between stints at the White House, Baker and his wife, Susan Glasser, spent four years as Moscow Bureau Chiefs. Baker also covered the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
