The focal point of PlayhouseSquare's $16 million renovation is a 20-foot crystal chandelier that will hang above the intersection of East 14th and Euclid. It'll be known as the GE chandelier, and it's modeled after the light fixtures inside the lobbies of PlayhouseSquare theaters. The giant light will be revealed - along with other improvements to the Theater District - on May 2nd, the date of the day-long celebration called Dazzle the District at Euclid Avenue and East 14th Street. We share a look at the making of the center piece that will anchor PlayhouseSquare. And, we talk with the President and Chief Executive Officer of PlayhouseSquare, Art Falco.

The 2014 Cleveland Institute of Music concert series is billed as the Year of the Composer - Virtuoso. One CIM student who lives up to that billing is 23-year-old Daniil Trifonov. In 2011, he won the prestigious International Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow and the Arthur Rubinstine International Piano Master Competition in Tel-Aviv. Daniil has recently been touring all over Europe, but on April 23rd he returns to Cleveland for the world premiere of his First Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, which he'll perform with the Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra. Here to tell us about the upcoming program is the man who'll be conducting that evening, Cleveland Institute of Music President Joel Smirnoff.Joel Smirnoff, Cleveland Institute of Music President
