We journey two-and-a-half hours southeast of Cleveland to the town of East Liverpool, Ohio. In the heart of the city sits the Museum of Ceramics. The ceramics industry fueled the town’s growth and put the City of East Liverpool on the map.
From East Liverpool we move north to Berea for a look at a business that helped build the city. What comes to mind might be the Cleveland Browns; that's where they practice, or, perhaps Baldwin Wallace University. But long before Berea became known for these two institutions, the city was known around the world for being in the sandstone business.
And in our ongoing Applause America series, we introduce you to two artists painting their way across the walls of communities in Sacramento, California.
