Former ESPN producer Lisa Fenn met Dartanyon Crockett and Leroy Sutton while working on a story about Crockett and Sutton's relationship, growing up in Cleveland and succeeding as high school wrestlers despite competing with disabilities. After completing the story, Fenn couldn't stay away from the boys. She introduced them to paths after high school and became their de facto mother.
Fenn published this journey's story in a book she wrote and called, Carry On – A Story of Resilience, Redemption and an Unlikely Family.
Fenn and Crockett spoke at the South Euclid-Lyndhurst Branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library Thursday to talk about this "unlikely family."
