Inflection Point: Khalida Brohi, Activist and Author of "I Should Have Honor"

This is a special episode featuring my live conversation with activist and author, Khalida Brohi. Khalida grew up in Pakistan and became an activist when she was just 16 years old-- in response to the honor killing of her cousin, who had fallen in love with a man who was not her betrothed. Since then Khalida has been on a global quest to speak up for women and speak out against cultural practices that keep women down. Her memoir is “I Should Have Honor. A memoir of hope and pride in Pakistan.” This conversation comes to you as part of Women Lit, a series I’m producing in collaboration with the Bay Area Book Festival. Khalida and I spoke on stage at the Women’s Building in San Francisco’s Mission District in December of 2018.
