Buffalo’s Say Yes Program Could Be A Model for Cleveland’s Schools

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District is working on becoming part of the 'Say Yes to Education' program.

The non-profit has partnered with communities around the country for 30 years, to not only prepare students in public school for college, but to help pay for their post-secondary education.

This topic will be discussed more Monday; when ideastream hosts Cleveland Connects: Say Yes to Education.

Since 2012, the Buffalo, New York public schools in the Say Yes to Education program have worked to increase high school graduation rates, and get more students into college.

Ideastream's Darrielle Snipes traveled to Buffalo to see how this partnership is working for the students, their families and the school district.

Gabriel Kramer is a reporter/producer and the host of “NewsDepth,” Ideastream Public Media's news show for kids.
