Turning the Tide on Sexual Assault

In recent years, sexual violence in Northeast Ohio made national and international headlines. Incidents in Steubenville and on Cleveland's Seymour Avenue put a national spotlight on these communities. These two high profile incidents only scratch the surface when it comes to the frequency of sexual assault, rape and the reemergence of human-trafficking in our state. This community conversation will shed light on the broader issue of sexual violence with a focus on intervention, prevention programs, restorative justice, and initiatives to empower survivors and their support networks.

Join Katie Hanna, Executive Director of the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence; Nickie J. Antonio, State Representative for Ohio House District 13; Andres Gonzalez, Chief of Police for Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority; and Sondra Miller, President and CEO of the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, in a conversation moderated by Rachel Dissell of The Plain Dealer.
