Experience:

Annie Wu’s career in public media began in Washington, D.C., at National Public Radio and WAMU. She’s been a general assignment reporter, a show producer, an editor, news director and now she leads Ideastream Public Media’s first digital content team focused on web, social media, newsletters and video.

Highlights:

  • Working in public media journalism since 1995.
  • First cohort of fellows selected for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting’s Editorial Integrity and Leadership Initiative in 2019.
  • Won a Gracie award from the Alliance for Women in Media in 2021.
  • Produced an audio documentary, “The Orphan Train,” distributed by the then-nascent Public Radio Exchange that became PRX’s most licensed piece of 2004.
