Browns Set to Start Johnny Manziel at Quarterback

Case Western Reserve University distinguished visiting practitioner Peter Carfagna has seen a lot of things practicing sports law--but nothing quite like the buzz around Johnny Manziel.

“This is sort of a Hailey’s Comet sort of thing," Carfagna said.

And now Manziel -- the first-round draft pick with both the Heisman trophy and some high-profile off-the-field antics -- will be on display nationwide.

Originally, Sunday’s game wasn’t set to be broadcast in many markets outside of Ohio.

But with Manziel at the helm, Fox Sports will now broadcast the game to almost half the country, which Carfagna said could pay off big for both the Browns and the league.

“The NFL media’s hoping this to extend into an audience they otherwise wouldn’t have reached because of the potential star power,” he said.

With the chance to land more lucrative endorsement deals, Carfagna added Maziel himself could be Sunday’s biggest winner--if, of course, he leads the Browns to a win.
