Hospitals are places where care is provided, doctors attend to patients, and ails are treated. But, increasingly, there is also violence. Health leaders recently convened a summit on the topic with all of the region's hospitals attending. Dr. Leslie Koblentz and Sisters of Charity Health System's General Counsel Shannon Jerse join ideastream's Sarah Jane Tribble today to talk about this growing issue and what can be done to help protect caregivers.
We join the conversation as Dr. Koblentz explains that St. Vincent Charity Medical Center is not the only one facing increased violence from patients.
