Autism one of the least understood disorders of our time, a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by impaired social interaction, verbal and non-verbal communication, and by restricted and repetitive behavior. And for the years of research and the dollars invested, we don't know how to stop it.
But we do know far more about Autism than in years past, even as controversies surround its causes...
That said - Cleveland is one of the epicenters of research, and this week is hosting the 12th Autism Spectrum Disorder Conference - Wednesday and Thursday at the I-X Center.
