In the field of medicine doctors and scientists are constantly devising new and better treatments, drug companies are coming out with cutting edge pills.
But there's at least one very old practice that may be coming back into fashion. In this morning's Plain Dealer, reporter Evelyn Theiss writes about the healing power of leeches and maggots. It's pretty rare, but these creatures are being used from time to time in operating rooms across northeast Ohio. Theiss spoke with ideastream®'s Eric Wellman.
