The increase in motorcyclist highway deaths may be used to fuel another drive to toughen Ohio's mandatory helmet law. Currently, it applies only to novice riders and those younger than 18. Komlank says her agency will "work with" Ohio lawmakers if they want to toughen the law, but she hints the department won't be leading the charge.
