The view from the Idea Center
Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s new “front door” opens to visitors on Friday.
The Boston Mill Visitor Center in Peninsula is the culmination of a 10-year, $7 million effort. ideastream's Rick Jackson and Jean-Marie Papoi got a sneak peek of the center and got some great photos and video.
In the revamped building, the second floor has been opened up, making the space light and airy. There are seven interactive kiosks that take visitors “back in time” to what the park and the surrounding area looked like through the years.
I’m digging the little open barn that overhangs the Cuyahoga River. It’s rustic and modern at the same time.
Another pair of opposing adjectives are necessary to describe Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang’s proposal to give every American a $1,000-a-month “freedom dividend.” Maybe “wonky and populist.” Or “inspiring and unthinkable.” Two undecided voters peppered him with tough questions about it in NPR’s latest “Off Script” interview. Check it out.
See you, bright and early, tomorrow morning on the radio,
Amy Eddings
