Good morning, iOpeners. It's Tuesday, June 25, 2019.

The FBI and Metroparks officers provided a clearer timeline into the murder of Katherine Brown and Carnell Sledge earlier this month at Rocky River Reservation, but authorities did not identify a suspect or a motive. Metroparks Chief Ranger Katherine Dolan says Brown and Sledge arrived in separate cars north of the Lorain Road Bridge just after 5 p.m. on June 4 and were killed within minutes. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information.

Oberlin College President Carmen Ambar says a $44 million verdict against the school for defaming nearby Gibson's Bakery could have a profound and chilling effect on free speech if schools are held liable for student protests. Ambar says vice president Meredith Raimondo was only at student protests to keep them safe after three black students admitted to attempting to steal from the store. The students read statements in court saying Gibson's was not racist in defending their business. Raimondo was found liable for interfering in business relationships.  Update June 28, 2019:  A Lorain County judge reduced the damages to $25 million based on Ohio law that caps punitive damages at twice compensatory damages.

Cleveland's Hopkins Airport will receive $20 million from the FAA to construct a taxiway and runway and purchase more snow removal equipment. It's part of over $3 billion in federal funding for airports across the country. The Akron-Canton airport will also receive $438,000 for snow removal equipment.

Ohio's Department of Transportation says its employees have spent more than 20,000 hours helping with cleanup from tornadoes and other severe weather that swept through parts of the state last month at a cost of more than $500,000. The state had said that 21 tornadoes touched down during severe storms that swept through 10 counties in late May.

The Indians earned their fourth straight win on Jason Kipnis's walk off 10th inning home run for a 3-2 final over Kansas City. The game was delayed for 2 hours and 23 minutes due to rain. The series against the Royals continues tonight at Progressive Field.

Weather forecast:  Today, sunny skies today, high 80. Tonight, mostly clear tonight, low 68. Tomorrow, a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms tomorrow, high 81. Partly cloudy Wednesday night, low 68.
