- Maehem, the Michigan dog on the loose for nearly a week, who was reunited with her owner after traveling seven miles on the ice of Saginaw Bay;
- The cow in Pennsylvania that was rescued by a combination of animal officers, police and fire crews after it had been stuck in chest-high mud for 12 hours;
- Rasma Krecia, the Latvian volunteer who is rescuing the pets of Ukranians forced to evacuate the city of Lviv. The menagerie includes, dogs, cats, foxes, storks, and a pet rat. She is taking them to Poland until the war is over;
- Coco, the guinea pig from North Carolina who unofficially set a Guinness World Record by performing more than 14 tricks within a minute;
- A British home insurance company detailed unusual dog-related insurance damage claims, including, among others, (1) a Labrador/Great Dane mix named Whiskey, who turned on the water tap in his owner’s kitchen, resulting in over $5,000 damage; (2) a dog that became snagged on a charging cable while its owner was cleaning a fish tank, and the laptop fell into a water-filled bucket.
