During this Thanksgiving holiday, here's a chance to vote for your favorite story from this week's Pet News. E-mail your choice to "queenofthemorn@gmail.com," phone your vote in live Friday 6-10 a.m. or Saturday 10 a.m.- noon EST on the WCLV Contest Line, 1-800-343-WCLV, or - outside of those hours - leave your vote on the Contest Line voice mail. I will tabulate the votes and announce the winner Monday, Nov. 29 at 7:20 a.m. EST. Your choices:
(1) Turkeys "Peanut Butter" and "Jelly," pardoned this week by President Biden, in a Thanksgiving tradition;
(2) Samm, the cat in Oregon who is awaiting confirmation from Guinness World Records that he is the world's oldest living cat at age 26;
(3) Former Naval Academy mascot "Bill XXXIV," a 14-year-old Angora goat with only one horn, who was erroneously kidnapped by West Point cadets recently ahead of the Dec. 11 Army-Navy Game. The cadets meant to kidnap the current mascot, "Bill XXXVII," but the heist turned to chaos;
(4) Rocky, the Suffolk, Va., tortoise, who was the subject of an emergency call when he climbed deep into the hollowed-out base of a tree. An emergency crew crawled into the hole, retrieved Rocky, and took him to warmer surroundings.
